Gone Home

My cousin, Maureen, has lost her battle against the cancer that had invaded her body.

She had willingly heeded all the advice and endured all the treatments suggested by the medical staff, and for a while the surgery and medications worked.  Sadly, cancer returned with a vengeance and there was no treatment available that would have been effective.

Maureen died just days after being given the dire news, ‘there was nothing that could be done’.  To the end she was a strong lady who inspired all who visited her as well as, the medical staff who treated her with great care, compassion and respect.

She is no longer dealing with the discomfort endured for many months.  Our family has lost a wonderful mother, sister, cousin,Grandma and sister-in-law.

Please think of the family as they prepare to say one last goodbye!

I thank all who have sent me such kind messages.  I appreciate each and every one.
