Sophie isn’t your typical little girl in that she loves lots of adventure, and because of that she often gets herself into a lot of trouble. Fortunately for her, she has Gabby, a little guardian angel that understands, because she too is young and is herself learning how angels have to be ready to quickly come to the aid of their ‘charges’.
This is a delightful story, and equally charming is the artwork – crisp, colorful and captivating to the eyes of the readers, young and old alike – Marina Fedotova’s work is wonderful. You’ll be quite enchanted as page by page, you follow Sophie’s numerous adventures and Gabbys’ equally numerous rescues – from climbing trees to trying to ride a pony, you can sit with your young lads and lasses and gradually introduce them to Gods love for every child , through this beautifully presented book; and the fact that God loves them so much, that He assigns each one their own special angel to guide and protect them, for Him. The biblical accuracy is something children will not ‘pick up on’ – this is a story for little children who do not necessarily (yet) know the specifics or detail.
The story could have been longer – with more adventures as you can complete the book very quickly, however the pictures that accompany Sheila Walsh’s ‘Little Princess’ story, more than make up for the brevity of the story. I’m sure children will be absolutely delighted to receive this treasure.
